Making your activity private allows you to prevent search engines like Google from showing your Musixmatch activities.

The email address you use on your Musixmatch account is not made publicly visible nor shared with other users on Musixmatch.

💻 On the website

  1. Login into your account

  2. Go to the Contribute tab

  3. Click on your photo in the top right corner

  4. Click on "Manage Account" below your name

  5. Go ton the "Privacy" section and select "Keep my activity private".

📱 On the mobile apps

Once you are logged into the iOS or Android app:

  1. Go to the Home tab

  2. Tap on the Settings button in the top right corner

  3. Tap on your name to see your profile page

  4. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner

  5. Select "Edit profile"

  6. Go to the "Privacy" section and select "Keep my activity private".

After you edit your privacy settings or name, it’ll take several weeks for search engines to update those changes. If you’ve turned on the search privacy setting and you’re still seeing your profile in search results, you can directly ask Google to remove a page more quickly.

🖋️ Please also note that this option is not available for Curators who, due to their role and the responsibilities connected with it, must have public profiles.
