Why is my IP blocked?

The following error message is mainly caused by the date and the time being incorrectly configured on your device, either through the Automatic settings or through manual configuration.

To make sure that your device's date and time settings are accurate, please configure the following manually:

  • Time Zone
  • Date (Check the year)
  • Time
  • AM/PM

This issue can also occur when the IP address you are using is suspected to be the same as one of a prohibited Musixmatch user.

IP blocking is usually temporary and will go away on its own sometime after the suspicious activity is no longer detected.

Please try these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

  • If you are using a VPN, you can switch it off
  • If you are not using a VPN, try switching to a different network (changing from Wi-Fi to your mobile data and/or switching to a different Wi-Fi network, etc.)
