Can Musixmatch be my publisher?


Musixmatch is not a publisher. 


Whilst we do not own the rights of the lyrics stored in our database, we allow rights-owners to monetize their lyrics catalog via our licensing agreements. You will need to have an active deal with a publisher, or be a self-published songwriter, if you want to receive royalties accrued via lyrics usage on our partner services and DSPs. 


We are working on providing royalty payouts to self-published songwriters, and will let you know when this feature is available.


Currently we only support royalty payouts to rights-owners from $100/€100 quarterly, with any insufficient balance rolling over to the next quarter.  If you believe you are entitled to royalties in an amount close to or beyond this threshold, or if you need further information, please contact us at publishers-support@musixmatch.com.
