What is Slack?

Slack is a messaging app designed for workplaces, and can be used across multiple devices and platforms.

What are the Slack Workspaces?

The Slack Workspace is a forum; we have two dedicated Workspaces:

🟒 The Community Workspace is open for all users. Joining is very easy, just click the button below and follow the instructions on the screen ⬇️

🟠 Curator Workspace is exclusively available for those who have passed the Curator Test πŸŽ“ (we explain how to become a Curator in detail in these articles).

If you're already a part of the Community Workspace, check out these awesome Avatars, that you can use for your profile picture there. 🎨 ✨

Rules

Once on the Slack Workspace, make sure you follow these rules to keep our great community constructive, respectful, and functional:

  • No NSFW content: if found sharing NSFW content, vulgar language, or any kind of pornographic content, you'll be banned without warning,

  • No harassing/abusing: under no circumstance are you allowed to harass other users. If found doing so you'll risk losing your status without warning.

  • No self-advertising/promotion: you can't give links to your website, it'll be considered spam. Neither can you share illegal download links in the public channels.

  • No spamming: exploiting tags and mentions. Doing so may result in a warning.

Interactions on this platform are also subject to our Community Behavior Policy.

We’re a wonderfully large and diverse community and Musixmatch will always encourage its users to communicate in ways that respect and acknowledge this. Using gender-neutral pronouns in your requests, or sticking to the name given on a user’s profile, can help make sure that everyone experiences our Community as the safe space we strive for ❀️

Channels and Direct Messages

  • Channels are public chat rooms 🌍 (anyone in the Workspace can see them).

  • Direct Messages are always private conversations with specific users πŸ”’.

You can find both the Channels and the Direct Messages in the sidebar.

πŸ’‘ TIP

You can identify a channel by its # symbol.

The Slack Community is a great one to be a part of, so join today and enjoy!
