What happens if you do not follow the writing guidelines during a mission
The consequence depends on the severity of the issue.
- For most issues, Musixmatch sends one or two written warnings before downgrading your status.
- If your contributions damage the lyrics catalog, or show no care for quality, Musixmatch can downgrade your status directly, without a prior warning. Any pending rewards are paused when this happens.
How you will find out
Per Status downgrades FAQs, Musixmatch sends an email explaining the specific reason for a downgrade, along with supporting evidence. If you do not receive an email, your status was likely downgraded automatically for inactivity. If you believe that is not the case, you can reach out on the Community Slack Channel for specialized support.
