A look inside the Mission System
A look inside the Mission System
Updated yesterday

Over the last couple of months we’ve been working on re-structuring the Mission System in order to increase both its and our efficiency. Up to now, its inner workings may have been a bit of a mystery for you. We’ve often received questions like, “Who decides which songs are pushed?”, and, “Why are some mission tasks worth more than others?" and today, we’d like to provide some answers.

The Clue’s in the Name

You may have noticed missions more and more frequently named after musical streaming service companies. This is a carefully planned decision, both to quickly let you know which subscriptions are needed to work on tasks in the mission (for example, Spotify Premium/Apple Music), and to give you information about where the songs have come from.

Different streaming sites have different demographics, which results in their missions having different kinds of songs. Naturally, every mission will need your love and attention, but naming them in this way helps us give you the quick information you need to organize your time.

This naming system will also help us deliver quicker fixes when issues arise, as we’ll be able to more swiftly identify the roots of complications.

Reaping Rewards

We’ve moved towards a dynamic reward system that directly reflects the effort you put in, so you can prioritize missions, manage your subscriptions and see stronger returns for your hard work.

Know your Contacts!

The Mission System is a complex environment and each specific mission can have significantly different situations. It’s with this in mind that we’ve assigned a point of contact ‘Mission Manager’ for each one. They will let you know when there are more tasks available in their missions, and you should reach out to them directly for any assistance needed with them.

The Points of Contact for the top missions are as follows:

Alongside them, Penny will deliver news relating to new releases, and Community Moderators Mauro and Tim remain available for any more general support.

We’ve made these tweaks with ambitions to improve your experience within the mission system, and hope that the above explanation can help you understand it better than ever before. We look forward to seeing the benefits these adjustments bring, and thank you all for joining us on the journey.
