When you try to verify your artist, you may see a message stating that the artist is on Spotify, but the discography is empty. As a result, we’re unable to verify your claim.
Why does this happen?
This typically happens in two cases:
1. Your releases are not yet publicly available
Our system is not able to identify pre-releases. At the time of the verification request, we can only use releases that are already live on streaming platforms.
2. Your release is very recent
If you’ve released your first album or single within the past week, our catalog may not yet be fully synced with digital streaming platforms. This means your discography may still appear empty on Musixmatch.
What can you do?
Wait at least one week from the release date before claiming your artist on Musixmatch Pro.
Contact your label or distributor to ensure that all your recording data has been correctly delivered to Apple Music and Spotify.
