Acknowledgement (ACK) files confirm the receipt of your Common Works Registration (CWR) submission. They follow the standard CISAC format. If you're unsure about specific definitions or terms in the files, you can refer to the official CISAC documentation:
Version 2.2: Download here
Version 2.1: Download here
What format will the acknowledgement files be generated in?
ACK files will be generated in either Version 2.2 or Version 2.1, depending on the format of your CWR submission.
When will the acknowledgement files be generated?
ACK files are created automatically after each CWR submission.
If you do not see an "Acknowledgement" folder in your SFTP area, it means you haven’t submitted any CWR files yet. The folder will be generated automatically upon your first submission.
What data is included in the acknowledgement file?
The ACK file serves as a confirmation of receipt.
Additionally, if your CWR submission contains ingestion errors, the file will include the work identifiers provided in your submission.
This helps you:
Identify and resolve reporting issues.
Ensure accuracy in royalty calculations.
How can I open the acknowledgement file?
ACK files can be opened using various applications compatible with CISAC formats. You or your partners should be able to access them using your preferred software.
Who on my team will receive the acknowledgement file notification?
By default, anyone with manager-level access to your company publishing account will receive ACK file notifications.
If you prefer to limit notifications to specific team members, we can customise this upon request.
