Pro for Labels gives you different ways to prepare, review, and improve the lyrics across your catalog.
Depending on your needs, you can use your credits on AI Enrichment, Human Curation, or add lyrics directly in bulk.
AI Enrichment
AI Enrichment helps you process songs automatically by adding:
Lyrics transcription
Time-sync
Lyrics metadata
How to use it
Open your catalog page
1. Select the songs you want to be transcribed
2. Click on "AI enrichment"
3. Check the overview and the balance of credits needed to confirm the action. If you need more credits, you can check out our plans.
4. Confirm the request to launch the AI enrichment
5. Once the request is confirmed, you can check the status in the "Requests" tab of the Catalog page. It usually takes some minutes to process the songs.
5. Once the AI enrichment has been finalized, you can review your songs on our Studio and send them directly to DSPs.
The process runs in the background, so you can continue working while your songs are being enriched.
Songs processed through this flow will show Enriched as their Source.
You will be able to check the status in the Requests tab.
You'll always need to approve the songs before they're distributed to DSPs.
Human Curation
If you'd rather have a song reviewed manually, you can send it to a Musixmatch Specialist. Our specialists review and verify the lyrics before they're distributed across the Musixmatch network.
Human Curation is available on Lyrics and Enterprise plans.
Once completed, songs processed through this flow will show Curated as their Source.
Add lyrics in bulk
If you already have official lyrics for multiple songs, you can upload them in bulk instead of adding them one by one. Use the lyrics-in-bulk feature in the "Add lyrics" section. More info here on how to use the lyrics bulk template.
Understanding Status and Source
In your catalog, Status and Source tell you two different things:
Status shows the current availability of the lyrics and time-sync.
Source shows where the lyrics came from and how they were verified.
Status
Status | What it means |
No lyrics | Lyrics are missing or haven’t been submitted yet and are not online. |
No sync | Plain lyrics have been submitted and are live, but time-synced lyrics are still missing. |
Lyrics and sync | Lyrics have been submitted, verified, and are live across the Musixmatch distribution network. |
Instrumental | The song has been marked as instrumental and doesn’t require lyrics. |
Source
Source | What it means |
Not Verified | The lyrics haven’t been verified by a specialist or artist yet. They may have been automatically detected or may still be pending review. |
Community | The lyrics were submitted by Musixmatch community users and are pending verification. |
Artist | The lyrics were submitted and verified directly by the artist or their management team. |
Specialist | The lyrics were verified by a Musixmatch Specialist. |
Label | The lyrics were provided and verified by the label, which takes responsibility for their accuracy and distribution. |
Enriched | The lyrics were automatically transcribed and analyzed through AI Enrichment. |
Curated | The lyrics were processed and verified through Musixmatch Human Curation. |
Which option should I use?
Use AI Enrichment to automatically transcribe, sync, and enrich songs at scale.
Use Human Curation when you want a Musixmatch Specialist to manually review and verify the lyrics.
Use Add lyrics in bulk when you already have official lyrics and want to add them to multiple songs at once.
Please note: pre-releases and already-verified tracks are not included in the AI Enrichment and Human Curation process.
