How lyrics distribution works

If you are a verified artist on Musixmatch Pro, you can curate and distribute your lyrics to major online music services (e.g. Spotify, Apple, Tidal, Amazon Music), social networks (e.g. Instagram and Facebook), and search engines (e.g. Google).

In this article we will explain how the distribution process works.

What are Verified Lyrics

Verified lyrics refer to lyrics that have been added and synchronized by the most trusted source on the Musixmatch platform:  the verified artist.

As a verified artist, you are automatically given the highest privileges in our community of 6M+ curators. 

To verify your lyrics, simply transcribe and synchronize them, or if they have already been added by a trusted member of our community, verify and confirm their accuracy. 

From that point on, no one will be able to modify your lyrics, and we will distribute them to all of our partners within a few working days. 

However, due to the complexity of our distribution system, it may take some time to see the updated status of your lyrics on Musixmatch Pro (we are working to resolve this issue)

How to add and synchronize lyrics

Once verified, artists or their representatives can easily add their lyrics to our database using Musixmatch Pro tools.

To verify lyrics, you must:

If you don't want to edit the lyrics personally, you can consider purchasing one of our paid plans that include outsourcing the editing process to our expert curators.

When Lyrics will be displayed

Verified lyrics are immediately displayed on the Musixmatch catalog, the largest lyrics database on the web with over 9 million monthly unique users and available in the search results on Google.

We will distribute the verified lyrics to Apple Music, Spotify, and all of our partners within one business day of upload. However, the appearance of the lyrics on third-party platforms may vary and is at the discretion of our partners, so there may be some delays and issues unrelated to our submissions.
