Localization: getting started with Crowdin
Updated over a month ago

Volunteer translators make it possible for users all over the world to enjoy Musixmatch in their native language.

Thank you for your interest and contributions! 🧑

If you're a lover of language and all things Musixmatch, you can apply to join our Localization Community!

πŸ‘£ Simply follow these steps:

1. Sign up or log in to Crowdin.com.

We're using Crowdin.com to manage lozalizations of the website and mobile apps.

You can sign up for the Android, iOS, and other Musixmatch projects depending on your interests.

2. Select the language you'd like to localize into

This should be your native language, or a language you speak to a native level.

3. Select the file you'd like to localize into

You can see the percentage completion rate of each folder. We encourage you to focus on the lesser completed ones.

NOTE. If it is your first time, you will have to join the localization team by clicking the "Join" button.

4. Start localizing!

After adding your localization to a string, click the 'βœ“' to save it. See example:

Once the files have been fully localized into a language, Crowdin.com makes them available for verification, which our localization managers will take care of.
